Roberto Prosseda is president of the jury and artistic coordinator of the Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition, 2024. The Rina Sala Gallo Competition, founded in 1947 by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, is the oldest international piano competition in Italy. The artistic coordination by Roberto Prosseda has led to some changes in the regulations, introducing much stricter rules to avoid conflicts of interest between students and jurors, and focusing on a diversification of prizes, so as to enhance the plurality of talents that present themselves in the competition. In spite of the restrictions in the regulations, which prevent entry for those who have had even one individual lesson with one of the jurors in the last 6 years. the competition had its highest number of entries ever, with 116 entries .
The jury for the 2024 edition consists of Lera Auerbach, Jed Distler, Inna Faliks, Michail Lifits, Roland Poentinen, Roberto Prosseda, John Rink.
